Beyond the Formalities...

Note: The pictures on this page link to more pictures of each project.

I do a lot more than what can be shown in a resume.  The photos and videos below show some of my design, engineering, and fabrication skills, (as well as some singing and dancing fun too!)

I am able to take an idea from cradle to grave.  Some of my skills include metal working, and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick, Gas, and plasma).  I can fabricate from metal, composite and resin, and I have experience in metal casting, upholstery, wood working, and painting.

I am presently working on additional pages that will link to the photos below and describe more of what you see.  Some of these links are still in progress, so please pardon the mess and check back soon!

One of my cars was of a monoque body design - the fiberglass body was the frame of the vehicle.  Check out my design go from concept, to construction, to finished product. Increasing the Horsepower by almost 300% from its original design while keeping the vehicle light weight allowed this street legal vehicle to obtain up to 72 Miles per gallon!

I designed my garage / my home.  A photo of me here provides some scale.  Check out some of the photos from start to finish.  You will see some of my electrical, plumbing and heating skills as well as some of the neat features that I incorporated during this construction.

See some of the restoration photos I took when I was restoring this 1958 Pontiac.  That 1958 Pontiac became a feature cover story on "Smoke Signals" - a National Pontiac Publication!

My mother has frozen shoulder and has a difficult time reaching the shift lever of her car.
A modification that I designed, fabricated, and installed gives her the gift of mobility.

When I build an engine, great attention is paid to every detail.  Here we have an 8.1 liter LS Chevy engine.   Not only does it look good, but it runs great too!

A friend with a rotted set of steps fell apart underneath me when I visited. Click on the photo to see how I constructed a new set of steps with stringers over 24 feet long!

Not everyone has an airplane.  You can see what it takes and some of the engineering challenges that I face to put it in the air as a tree house!

How about a Caboose? Not many people have one because of the logistics of transporting it. Watch how it came home with me and see where it is today!

Sometimes the lesser expensive tools are nice, but they could be better to suit my needs.   Look at some of the modifications I made that make this tool competitive with models that cost 10x as much!

I like to have fun painting Happy Trees for Halloween! I had the honor and privilege to be a narrator for a Livingston County Historical Documentary.  You can hear me Talk about Corn Planter and Red Jacket at 00:14:46.
Here I am installing a boiler for my home radiant heating system. And I do plumbing too!  Every heat zone has a valve for isolation and service.  This photo is just before I connect all of the PEX heating lines.
